Klimkin comes to Berlin for Normandy Format meeting

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has arrived in Berlin for negotiations with Normandy Format foreign ministers, Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk said.

“Berlin is meeting the minister. Major talks in the Normandy Format are ahead,” Melnyk wrote on Twitter.

The meeting of Normandy Format foreign ministers is expected to take place in Berlin in April 13.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko earlier said that the Berlin talks are to focus on the issue of peacekeepers.

According to Klimkin, the four ministers will meet to discuss the ceasefire, withdrawal of troops and Ukraine’s initiatives to achieve real de-escalation in southeastern Ukraine.
