You're reading: Klimkin says Ukraine, Chile establish visa-free regime

Ukraine and Chile have signed an agreement on the terms of mutual trips by their citizens, the provisions of which stipulate that citizens of both countries may stay in the other country for to up to 90 days without a visa within a six month period, or 180 days.

The agreement was signed by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and the Chilean Ambassador to Ukraine (resident in Moscow) Juan Eduardo Eguiguren.

“I would like to thank the ambassador for his clear, consistent support by Chile of the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Today we’ve signed a document allowing our citizens to travel visa-free between the two countries <…>. It is the next step in strengthening our friendly relations,” Klimkin said.

He added that Chile has now become the 25th country Ukraine enjoys a visa-free regime with.
