You're reading: Klimkin will speak at World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Ankara, meet with Turkish vice premier

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin is on a working visit in Ankara, where he will speak at the second World Congress of Crimean Tatars, the Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter.

“Klimkin visited Turkey to participate in the second World Congress of Crimean Tatars. He will deliver a speech and hold a meeting with Vice Prime Minister of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus,” the ministry said.

“On behalf of the president I have the honor in Ankara tomorrow to address to the participants in the World Congress of Crimean Tatars,” Klimkin earlier wrote on his Twitter page.

According to the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Ukrainian MP Refat Chubarov, the congress will be attended by plenipotentiary delegations of about 200 Crimean Tatar public organizations from Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Canada, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, the United States, Romania, Turkey, France, and other European countries.
