Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has met with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State Victoria Nuland and discussed the prospects of investments in Kyiv and the general situation in Ukraine.

According to a statement issued by the press service of Kyiv City State Administration on April 28, the issues of battling corruption and the necessity of reforming the Ukrainian prosecutor’s agencies were also discussed

“We talked about urgent reforms Ukraine desperately needs, particularly, law enforcement and prosecution agencies reform. Biden noted that efficient work by the Interior Ministry, prosecution agency’s investigations of cases against corrupted officials and bringing those involved in corruption to justice are extremely important today,” Klitschko said after the meeting.

Klitschko asked Nuland and Biden to help attract American investments to Kyiv.

“It’s about the development of economy, creation of new jobs, the development of city’s infrastructure,” Klitschko added.
