The leadership of the so-called 'Donetsk People's Republic' has turned down Ukraine's proposal to send mine-rescuers to abolish the consequences of the accident at Zasiadko coal mine in Donetsk, which is located on the militants-controlled territory, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said at a briefing in Kyiv on March 4.

“We offered six teams – rather powerful forces. But unfortunately, Donetsk People’s Republic said it needs no our help, they will cope by themselves or will claim for Russia rescuers,” he said.
The minister has added that previously MP Yukhym Zviahilsky asked Ukrainian authorities to help to liquidate the accident.
Ukraine has huge rescue teams in Krasnoarmiysk (approximately 40 kilometers from Donetsk), but can’t send them to the accident site since there are no security guarantees.
