Kyiv City Council has preliminarily approved a strategy for the development of the capital for a period of until 2025.
Ninety council deputies out of 112 deputies registered in the session hall on Thursday voted for the adoption of the strategy as a basis.
The factions of the Vitaliy Klytchko UDAR (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform) Party and the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko did not vote.
In keeping with the city council’s decision, Kyiv City Administration shall arrange and hold within two months public discussions on the strategy, following which it should prepare a finalized project, which is to be approved by Kyiv City Council.
The final wording of the strategy is expected to be approved this autumn.
