Shooting at positions of Ukrainian servicemen continues in the military operation zone in Donbas, Ukrainian presidential administration speaker Andriy Lysenko said.

“There was resistance in the Luhansk direction yesterday… it erupted near the Stanytsia Luhanska and Schastia villages. Exchange of fire of various intensity continued almost throughout the day. Two civilians were injured in Schastia village. There are two more hot spots – Krymske and Zolote,” Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on July 6.

As for the Donetsk area, positions of Ukrainian servicemen came under fire near Svitlodarsk and battle actions continue at a wide section from Avdiyivka to Maryinka, he said.

A considerable share of enemy’s weapons is in this area and is being used actively, Lysenko said. “Due to this, residential settlements within 5-10km of the battle line come under fire,” he said.

Provocations occurred in Mykolaivka, Starohnativka and Chermalyk from the direction of Mariupol. Heavy mortar and howitzer equipment was used during attacks and three unmanned aircraft were registered as well, he said.
