You're reading: Kyiv presents new evidence of Russian weapons in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry presented information about the use of Russian-made weapons in Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts to foreign military attaches on April 23, the ministry press service said in a report.

A Ukrainian position manned by servicemen of the Aidar battalion near the town of Zholobok in Luhansk region came under fire by the Kornet (9M133F-1 thermobaric) anti-tank guided missile launcher several days ago. For technical reasons, the round did not explode and was handed over to Kyiv, the report said.

According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the marking said that the weapon was built in Russia in 2012 and supplied to the Russian Army. “There are no such weapons in use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” it said.
