Shootouts alongside the contact line continued on June 2 evening and last night in Luhansk region, head of Luhansk Region Military Civilian Administration Hennadiy Moskal has said.

“A Ukrainian roadblock near a bridge across the Siversky Donets River in Stanytsia Luhanska came under attack at around midnight, first by use of automatic weapons and then by mortars. The shelling lasted for over two hours with some pauses. Public utilities of the town were not damaged. There is no information about possible casualties,” the Moskal press service said.

After midnight, mortars shelled a Ukrainian roadblock near the village of Katerynivka in Popasna district. The fire was coming from Molodizhne. In all, 15 mortar mines were fired. Consequences of the attack are yet to be assessed.

Automatic weapon and grenade launcher duels occurred last night near the village of Triokhizbenka, between the villages of Krymske and Sokilnyky in Novoaidar district and in the town of Schastia. Besides, an outpost in the village of Rodyna came under fire last night.
