Lviv is to install additional road signs for visitors to the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, according to the director of the city's Euro 2012 department, Oleh Zasadny.

"The Euro 2012 logo will be on the road signs," Zasadny said.

"Such road signs will be installed in all cities that are hosting Euro 2012. By the end of September we will count how many signs have to be fixed so guests can conveniently travel on the most popular traffic routes," he said.

UEFA will call a tender to choose a contractor for work after all the necessary calculations have been done.

"The signs will be the same in all the cities so tourists can find their way around better on the roads. UEFA designed these signs. We’re responsible for their installation in Lviv," Zasadny said.

About 1,070 bilingual signs for streets and tourist sites have already been installed in Lviv.
