You're reading: Lviv to organize 3 fan zones for Euro 2012, Sadovy says

Lviv, Sept 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Three fan zones will be set up for Euro 2012 in Lviv, Head of Lviv City State Administration Andriy Sadovy has said at a press conference.

"There will be a big fan zone from the Opera Theatre to the Shevchenko monument, which will be able to seat up to 35,000 fans on peak days. We also plan to build a fan zone in the city culture park and in the Sikhov [the biggest residential area in Lviv]," Sadovy said.

Concerts of Ukrainian performers are to be held in the fan zones along with big-screen broadcasts of the matches, he added.

As the head said, the city’s authorities invited experts from Austria to design and organize the fan zones.
