KHARKIV - A man has killed two persons and took another two captive at a gas station in Kharkiv Oblast.

“Under preliminary data, an unknown person opened a fire with a carbine and two persons were killed in the town of Liubotyn. It has already been established that the crime was committed by a 48-year old local citizen. After the crime, the man in his own car VAZ-99 left for the village of Korotych, where he took two[more people] captive at the gas and fuel station,” the media liaison office of the Main Directorate of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry in Kharkiv Oblast reported on May 25.

According to the report, the police are now negotiating with a man to secure the release of the hostages and are taking measures to arrest the suspect.
