A draft interstate Ukrainian-Russian 'gas' agreement in an absolute secrecy, without names and surnames, has been submitted to the leadership of Russia and Ukraine for consideration and approval, according to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly.

On Monday, December 5, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych gave Prime Minister Mykola Azarov a two-hour talk, after which Azarov returned to the Cabinet of Ministers very agitated and angry: the premier does not want to take responsibility for the commissioning of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.

On Wednesday, December 7, Premier Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet instructed to prepare a "tough option" of the national budget for 2012 with the price of imported gas of at least $400 per 1,000 cubic meters and submit the document to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration.
