Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has signed a governmental decree according to which soldiers who serve in the military due to the mobilization will receive the same monetary compensation as contract soldiers.
“[The decree] establishes that soldiers who serve in the military for the special period from March 18, 2014 due to mobilization will receive monetary compensation of the amount and in the manner established for officers, sergeants and private soldiers who serve in the military under contracts,” reads the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 111 dated April 9, which has been posted on the government Web site.
