Naftogaz Ukrainy is expecting on Wednesday to receive the entire volume of Russian gas that was paid for earlier and will continue to meet its obligations for the transportation of gas to Europe, the state holding's press service said.
“In accordance with the current agreements with Gazprom, the company is planning to contract Russian gas as much as needed, depending on the level of consumption in Ukraine and with account of supply on the European market. Until this time, Naftogaz will accept Russian gas only for transportation to Europe,” the statement said.
