The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) after the decision to increase refinancing rate from 19.5 percent to 30 percent per annum from March 4, 2015 also considerably increased credit rates for active and passive transactions, in particular, the working refinancing rate for overnight credits secured by state securities from 23 percent to 33 percent.
The central bank also increased overnight deposit certificates rates from 14 percent to 20 percent per annum and the rates of deposit certificates for longer terms – by nine percentage points, to 26-27 percent per annum.
