You're reading: National Bank of Ukraine: National budget deficit down to Hr 200 million in July

The deficit of Ukraine's national budget in July fell to UAH 200 million from UAH 7.7 billion in the previous month, which was the result of both increased revenues and reduced expenses in absolute terms, according to a macroeconomic overview the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has posted on its website.

“Over the seven months, the deficit amounted to UAH 2.3 billion compared to a deficit of UAH 32.8 billion in January-July 2014,” reads the document.

According to the report, national budget revenues in July grew by 86.9% year-over-year, and in general for the seven months of this year the figure was up by 44.6%, which is due to a rise in both tax and non-tax proceeds.
