The new head of the World Bank's office in Kyiv will be introduced in February, and meanwhile Connie Luff has been appointed as acting World Bank director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, the World Bank told Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

The bank also said that Martin Raiser, who earlier served as World Bank director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, had been moved to work in Turkey.

The name of the new head of the World Bank’s office in Kyiv is currently being kept secret.

Raiser was appointed World Bank director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova in June 2008.
