You're reading: OSCE monitors visit Horlivka bombing site, confirm three deaths

Members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) have visited Horlivka, which was shelled on May 26, OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug has said.

On May 27, the monitors saw the impact of the May 26 bombardment in Horlivka which is currently controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), he said. They observed nine craters made by shells in three districts of the town and the body of a woman killed when a shell directly hit a house. The monitors visited the town morgue and confirmed the death of three people in the shelling incident, Hug said at a press briefing in Kyiv on May 28.
