Russian human rights ombudsman Ella Pamfilova has asked Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada commissioner for human rights Valeria Lutkovska to personally become familiar with the living conditions of Russian citizens Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yeroveyev, who were detained in Ukraine.

Pamfilova has sent Lutkovska an official letter asking her to personally visit Alexandrov and Yeroveyev, who have been transferred from the Central Military Hospital to a detention facility, the press service for Pamfilova told Interfax on Aug. 3.

“The human rights ombudsman is asking to visit them in person, to become familiar with their living conditions, to help resolve the problems arising during their detention, and to promote the observance of their procedural rights to protection from the charges,” the press service for Pamfilova has reported.
