Ukrainian citizens should understand that there is no alternative to the conducting of the pension reform in Ukraine, according to Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov.
"We should be flexible in conducting the pension reform. How flexible we should be? First, people should understand that there is no other alternative to the decisions made. Does the existing pension system suit anyone? It does not, so we should change it," the premier said at the Summit of CIS Finance Ministers in Kyiv on Saturday.
Azarov also said that the conducting of the pension reform is a complicated issue, but it should result in the establishment of higher and differentiated pensions that would be in line with people’s impact into the Ukrainian economy in the period of their working career.
