MOSCOW - The issue of elections in the self-proclaimed people's republics of Donetsk and Luhansk will arouse problems if considered separately from the issue of political reforms in Ukraine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

‘The president (of Russia Vladimir Putin) promised to give an instruction in the nest few days to converse discuss these issues with representatives of the DPR and LPR,’ Peskov told journalists in the wake of a meeting of the Normandy format leaders in Paris on Friday.

‘The issue was indeed about elections. But it was stressed in particular the issue of elections can hardly be discussed separately from the current Minsk agreements, such as the political reform and amnesty,’ Peskov said.
