MOSCOW - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has raised the issue of the fate of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko after her trial in Russia at the Normandy format leaders meeting in Paris on Friday.

‘The amnesty issue was discussed. It was stressed that of course during elections participants in the electoral process cannot be prosecuted. They cannot be subject to criminal or any other prosecution,’ Peskov said.

‘Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko mentioned the name of Savchenko, as well as others. But that was responded by statements that it is impossible to say anything prior to the completion of a trial and a court verdict’, he said.
