Berkut riot police beat and kidnapped Dmytro Dvoychenkov , a journalist of Espreso online TV on Hrushevskoho Street before later releasing him this morning, official Espreso TV site reports on Jan. 22.

“Dmytro carried live coverage from the place of clashes between the protesters and Berkut riot police,” the website says. “The journalist was kidnapped during the crews shift change. He was pulled from the balcony of the house on Hrushevskoho Street, beaten, shoved into the car and taken away to an unknown destination.

“A bit earlier the Espreso TV crew was attacked by gas grenade,” said member of parliament Mykola Knyazhysky on his Facebook page.

The National Resistance Headquarters asks all the eyewitnesses or people who have any information about the crime to call to the House of Trade Unions.

Before noon, Knyazhytsky wrote on his Facebook page that Dvoychenkov is released now.
