President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has insisted on the priority of a political conflict settlement in Donbas, the presidential press service has reported.

“Realizing the price paid, I insisted, insist and will insist on the priority of political settlement. Of course, we support peace but not peace at any cost. We will not give any piece of Ukrainian land,” Poroshenko said at a meeting with the military men defending Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.

The meeting was held on the anniversary of the liberation of these cities in Donetsk region from militants.

He noted that the project of the so-called Novorossiya was buried on July 4, 2014.

“Our common goal is to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the sovereignty of every piece of Ukrainian land, secure and protect the independence of Ukraine from any aggressor who invaded our land,” the president said.
