You're reading: Poroshenko along with other Western leaders in Poland to commemorate 70th anniversary of end of WWII

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will attend the commemoration ceremony of the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII, in Poland.

The ceremony will take place in the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk and in the Westerplatte Peninsula on May 7-8, the website of Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski reported.

In addition to Ukrainian and Polish leaders, presidents of Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, and top officials of Spain, Latvia, Slovakia, Germany and France will attend the festivities.

UN Secretary General and European Council President also accepted the Poland’s invitation.
