President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the foreign ministers of Lithuania and Sweden, Linas Linkevicius and Margot Wallstrom, have noted the need for uniting international efforts to combat terrorism.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian president, at a meeting in Kyiv on November 17 the president and the ministers expressed their shared vision of the need for joint efforts by the international community to prevent and combat terrorism.

“We stand side by side with the French people, the French president, and the French government in the fight against terrorism,” Poroshenko said.

The parties also discussed the situation in Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The foreign ministers reiterated that the position of Sweden and Lithuania is the need for the continuation of sanctions against Russia until the Minsk agreements are fully implemented,” reads the report.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of providing Ukraine with a visa-free regime with the EU. The ministers welcomed the Verkhovna Rada’s adoption of the “visa-free package” laws which will promote Ukraine in implementing the visa-free action plan.
