Ukraine's national security and defense strategy, a draft of which is being considered by the National Security and Defense Council on May 6, must provide for the country's future membership in NATO, says President Petro Poroshenko.

“Our strategy must provide for the possibility of Ukraine acquiring a NATO membership in the future. We must finally put this extremely important element back into this document,” the head of state told the Security Council, the president’s press office said.
