Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has recognized that the situation in Donbas has been worsening and that the risks and threats to national security and territorial integrity are extremely high.

“Attempts to foil the Minsk agreements – not simply by provoking the Ukrainian military with acts of sabotage, not simply by shelling our territories from weapons that should have been pulled away a long time ago, not only by preventing the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission from both monitoring sites, sites of the withdrawal of armaments and the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border not controlled by Ukraine – indicate that the risks and threats to the national security, sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine remain extremely high,” the president said opening a session of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in Kyiv on Nov. 11, the presidential press service reports.
