Sweden backs Ukraine's initiative on a peacekeeping mission being sent to eastern Ukraine under a UN mandate, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during a meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, who is currently in Kyiv.
“We, with Mr. Lofven, separately covered an issue of sending a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine under the mandate of the United Nations, and I am grateful to Mr. Lofven for his firm and powerful support which Sweden demonstrates on this issue as well,” Poroshenko said during a joint press conference with Lofven in Kyiv on March 11.
