Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has voted in favor of the law "On amendments into some laws of Ukraine on fixing a date of the beginning of temporary occupation", which sets on Feb. 20, 2014 as an official date of the beginning of the peninsula's occupation by the Russian troops.

As a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine reported, a total of 239 parliamentarians voted for the respective law at the sitting on Sept. 15.
