Illegal armed formations acting in eastern Ukraine are enhancing their forces on the frontline and bringing resources closer to the confrontation line, Ukrainian Presidential Administration Spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation Andriy Lysenko has said.

“According to the intelligence data, the militants are enhancing their groups on the frontline. A high intensity of movements of the equipment between Luhansk and southern territories of occupied Luhansk region has been observed,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on April 6.

Lysenko noted that illegal armed formations were actively bringing in material-technical resources from transshipment bases and storehouses near Russian border in cities of Krasnodon, Ilovaisk and others closer to the frontline. First of all these include Donetsk, Horlivka, Stakhanov, Alchevsk and Luhansk.
