Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) investigators have evidence that representatives of the Russian security services led subversive and separatist actions in Ukraine.

“The SBU’s investigative department opened 12 proceedings involving
25 people who are suspected of subversive activities, separatism, and
terrorism,” the head of the SBU press center, Maryna Ostapenko, said at a
briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

She said that the 25 persons included citizens of Ukraine and Russia.
Ostapenko suggested that some Ukrainians who are suspects in criminal
proceedings on subversive activities and separatism could have Russian
citizenship.

She also added: “SBU investigators have already proved Russian
involvement in eight of the 12 criminal proceedings. That is, the
organization of subversive activities and the seizure of administrative
buildings and weapons were carried out under the guidance of
representatives of the Russian special forces.”
