You're reading: Search for remains of soldiers killed in fighting begins at Donetsk airport

Members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination and the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have arrived at Donetsk airport to look for the dead bodies of soldiers killed in fighting there, an Interfax correspondent reported from the site.

A representative of the DPR Defense Ministry said that in
Ukrainian-controlled territory measures to look for soldiers’ remains
would be taken as early as on Oct. 15.

“A search for the dead bodies will also take place on the other side, which is controlled by Ukraine,” he said.
