The draft obliging protocol on gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine for 2015-2016 was one of the key issues discussed at a meeting of Vice President of the European Commission (EC) for Energy Maros Sefcovic and Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn, which was held in Kyiv late on April 27.
“The draft obliging protocol on gas supplies to Ukraine from Russia for 2015-2016, gas reforms in Ukraine and gas reserve supplies were mainly discussed,” Head of the European integration department at the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry Mykhailo Bno-Airiyan said.
He said that Naftogaz Ukrainy Board Chairman Andriy Kobolev also took part in the meeting.
Bno-Airiyan said that energy reforms and the increase of energy efficiency were also discussed.
