Stoltenberg says Russia sends over 1,000 armaments to militants over past few months

MADRID - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Russia has sent over 1,000 pieces of military equipment to the self-proclaimed republics in eastern Ukraine over the past few months.

“Russia has transferred in recent months over 1,000 pieces of equipment – tanks, artillery and advanced air defense systems,” he said at a press conference in Rome.

Stoltenberg said that Russia has “to withdraw this equipment and they have to stop supporting separatists.”
