 Ten people with gunshot wounds have been hospitalized in Mariupol, where shooting continues since morning, local mass media outlet reported. "Ten people with gunshot wounds have been brought to the Illichivsk a hospital," the 0629.ua portal reported. According to the information of the media outlet, "representatives of the Donetsk People's Republic have seized a tank at the crossing of Lenin and Torhova [Streets]."

 “A male corpse with yellow and blue band on his hand lies near the Main Internal Affairs Directorate building. Bulletproof vest lies next to him. The deceased has sustained gunshot wound to the side,” the portal reported citing witnesses.

“According to the preliminary information, between one to eight people died as a result of the storm and shooting of the city [police] department,” a Mariupol self-defense representative has told Interfax-Ukraine.

The building is on fire, Mariupol residents build barricades at streets, turn cars over and burn tires, the representative said.

Local mass media outlets have reported, citing doctors, two dead and eight injured.

The Ukrainian law enforcement authorities are trying to storm the city police department – policemen, who refused to obey orders from Kyiv, barricaded themselves in the building, the Mariupol self-defense said.

Meanwhile, according to the Donetsk regional police press office, the Ukrainian law enforcement authorities are trying to get back the Mariupol city police department, which has been taken by representatives of the “Donetsk People’s Republic.”
