Odesa - Vandals destroyed three monuments to Vladimir Lenin in the villages of Loschynivka, Kamianka and Bahate in the Izmail district of the Odesa region on Aug. 16.
The vandals were traveling in two cross-country vehicles, Izmail news Web site reported, citing eyewitnesses.
No commentaries by police officials are available to Interfax.
Media reports also said that a bust of Lenin disappeared in the village of Kyrnychky in the Izmail district and a monument to Lenin was destroyed in Bolhrad in the Odesa region last week.
