You're reading: Three Ukrainians die in plane crash in Karelia

Three Ukrainians were killed in the Tu-134 airplane crash in Karelia, Russia, in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to the lists of the crash victims posted on the Web site of the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation, three Ukrainian citizens died as a result of the crash: Anastasiya Osypova, Heorhiy Osypov (born in 2005), and Khrystyna Onischenko.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported earlier on Tuesday said that there were two citizens of Ukraine among the victims: Khrystyna Onischenko, born 1989, and Vahram Simovian, born 1975, who lived in Kharkiv region.

At the same time, the Russian Emergencies Ministry listed Vahram Simovian as Armenian citizen.

Interfax-Ukraine learned at the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry that as of 1500, Moscow time, the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s lists were not final as they were still obtaining more precise data.
