Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union insists on its entry into the Verkhovna Rada after early elections and announces large-scale mobilization to prove its victory, the leader of the party, Oleh Tiahnybok, has said.

“We must use our lawyers, campaign workers, and organizers. We should not get disappointed and have to fight to the end, demand a recount, and seek judicial decisions,” he said at a rally in front of the building of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Thursday, Oct. 30.

He said that all exit polls had shown that Svoboda passes the 5 percent threshold.

Tiahnybok also said that “our former Maidan partners betrayed us.”

However, he said that “Svoboda has not lost, and everything is just beginning.”

The rally delegated Svoboda representatives to CEC Chairman Mykhailo Okhendovsky with the demand to prevent election fraud.

MPs Yuriy Syrotiuk and Oleh Bondarchuk left for the meeting with Okhendovsky with such a mission. They are currently in his office.

With 99.56 percent of ballots counted, Svoboda collects 4.71 percent of the vote (740,426 votes). Thus, the party does not overcome the 5 percent electoral threshold.
