The leader of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union, Oleh Tiahnybok, has demanded that the Verkhovna Rada immediately consider the question of constitutional amendments, the unconditional decriminalization of articles on which criminal proceedings were launched against protesters, and a report by Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko.

“We should immediately consider the question of constitutional reform, a return to the 2004 constitution, make amendments to the law on decriminalization and cancel any conditions, as well as hear a report by the prosecutor general and the interior minister on the investigation into the cases of torture, rape, abductions, disappearances, and murders,” he said at a morning meeting of parliament on Tuesday.

“It’s necessary to prepare documents for the Hague Tribunal to convict criminals. We should themselves ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court,” Tiahnybok said.

He said that these were priority measures that should be taken by parliament.

Tiahnybok said that if the Verkhovna Rada’s failed to take action it would lead to bloodshed on the streets.
