You're reading: Tombinski says Poroshenko to support Rada in work on law on civil service to adopt it with amendments in second reading

Head of EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski is sure that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko supports the adoption of the law on civil service, the press service of the EU Delegation to Ukraine reported.

“This gives me a full conviction that the intention of President is to support Verkhovna Rada in its work on the Law on Civil Service, with the aim to adopt it in the second reading, after parliamentary work with amendments and comments voiced by deputies,” Tombinski saidon the results of the discussion of Poroshenko with EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Vera Jourova.

The EU experts stay ready to assist Rada in concluding the work on the important Law, which lays foundation for a comprehensive reform of the public administration, he also said.

“Following adoption of the Law on Civil Service and preparation of an accompanying strategy and Action plan of implementation, the EU is ready to consider financial support for this important reform,” reads the statement.
