People's Front party formed a military council at the convention in Kyiv on Sept. 10.

The delegates at the convention supported the following people being
included on the military council: the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine and Head of the party’s central headquarters Oleksandr
Turchynov, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, lawmaker Serhiy Pashynsky, former
Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine Andriy
Parubiy, Director of the Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk,
Deputy Commander of a National Guard battalion Serhiy Sydorin, Commander
of the Azov special battalion Andriy Biletsky, Commander of the
Dnipro-1 battalion Yuriy Bereza, Commander of Artemivsk battalion
Kostiantyn Mateichenko and the commanders of the Golden Gate, Chernihiv
and Peacekeeper battalions.

At the convention, Turchynov said that soldiers and law enforcers
couldn’t become members of a party. Thus, the military council of the
People’s Front was formed.
