 Electoral preferences of Ukrainians for Batkivschyna all-Ukrainian Union and Solidarity party are practically the same, according to the data of the sociological research of the SOCIS Social and Marketing Research Center, Kiev International Institute of Sociology, Sociological Group "Rating" and Razumkov Center, which was presented by the Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU) at the press conference in the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on March 26.

 According to the poll, the political parties’ ratings in the context of possible parliamentary elections are as follows: first place is Batkivschyna with the support of 15% of the respondents, while the Solidarity party headed by Petro Poroshenko would receive 14.9% of the votes, if parliamentary elections were conducted in March 2014.

According to the poll, Vitali Klitschko’s UDAR party occupies the third place with 11.3% electoral support. A total of 10.5% of the respondents are ready to support the Regions party, and 4.9% – the Communists party.

According to the poll, the Svoboda party would receive 3.5% of the voters’ support and the Right Sector party – 1.8%.

In addition, the poll showed that a total of 20.9% of the respondents refused or hesitated to answer, and 9.2% said they wouldn’t vote at the parliamentary elections at all.

The poll was conducted on March 14-19 among a sample of Ukrainians aged 18 or older. Representational quota sample amounted to 6,200 respondents (1,550 respondents per every sociological center) from all the regions of Ukraine (except for the Crimea).

The methods of the research included structured face-to-face interview according to the place of residence of respondents. The statistical sampling error (confidence interval) doesn’t exceed 0.8%.
