MINSK - The trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine is expected to meet in the Belarusian capital Minsk late on May 22 afternoon.

“Sessions of the working group for political issues and the trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine will take place in Minsk in late afternoon,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on its official Twitter account.

These sessions will be held behind closed doors, the ministry said.

At its meeting in Minsk on May 22, the Contact Group plans to discuss the work of its sub-groups in charge of various issues.

“The meeting is expected to address the first results of the sub-groups’ work,” Daria Olifer, spokesperson for former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, who represents Kyiv in the Contact Group, told Interfax earlier.

The Contact Group’s sub-group for political issues is expected to meet again on May 22, she said.
