You're reading: Ukraine-NATO working group on defense reform approves work schedule for this year

The joint high-level working group of Ukraine and NATO on defense reform has adopted a joint communiqué at its meeting in Kyiv on May 27, which includes its work schedule and areas of activities until the end of this year.

“A meeting of a high-level joint working group and three meetings in the format of a core group at NATO headquarters are scheduled to be held between May and December of 2015,” reads a statement published on the website of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The main areas of activities of the working group in 2015 will be promoting the intensification of military and political dialogue between Ukraine and NATO, including through preparations for meetings of the defense ministers of Ukraine and NATO member states and the consultative mechanism within the framework of the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between NATO and Ukraine.
