MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Ukraine needs to pump between 18 billion and 20 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas into its underground depots by October 1 to have enough gas for this autumn and winter, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Saturday without saying how much gas is left in the depots today.

Earlier, in the day Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev claimed Ukraine is currently paying for Russian gas supplies “in driblets.”
