The Ukrainian government said on Monday it has reached agreement with the visiting International Monetary Fund mission on most outstanding issues related to its $15 billion stand-by facility.

"(Prime Minister Mykola Azarov) has stressed that, as a result of the meeting, compromise has been reached on most memorandum items," the government said in a statement referring to a document that outlines key economic policies.

The IMF mission head confirmed this view in the statement.

"We have agreed on practically all issues that we had raised," Thanos Arvanitis was cited in the statement as saying.
