EU Foreign-Policy Chief Federica Mogherini, European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker are due in Kyiv on April 27 for progress talks with the Ukrainian government about the country's reforms agreed as part of the EU-Ukraine Association Pact.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has expressed hope that the European Union will boost support for Ukraine and for its plans for European integration.

EU chefs are due to Kyiv on April 25 for talks with Ukrainian officials about the country’s reforms. European integration is a top priority for Ukraine, Poroshenko says.

Ukrainian officials will be attempting to further negotiations over a possible EU visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens,
but the deal is being undermined by Ukraine’s lack of control over its
eastern borders because of the war in the region with Russia.

However, Ukraine’s proposal for an EU peacekeeping mission to east Ukraine meanwhile is reportedly unlikely to be approved by Brussels.
