Government forces in eastern Ukraine were reportedly attacked with
automatic grenade launchers, sniper rifle fire and small arms in the
Donetsk region, currently overrun by militants backed by Moscow.

Ukraine and Russia signed a ceasefire agreement back in February that
requires both sides to withdraw weapons 25 kilometers from the
so-called line of contact in eastern Ukraine but since the agreement was
signed there has been almost daily violations by militants. Ukraine
